Our core principle
Aletheias Insights exists to make veterinary medicine smarter through collective clinical intelligence. To do that, we need clinical data — not personal data. We have designed every part of our system to ensure that personally identifiable information never enters our AI pipeline.
What we collect from connected PIMS
When your practice connects its practice management system, we extract only anonymized clinical signals. Here is exactly what we use:

What we never access
- Patient names
- Owner names or contact info
- Addresses or phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Billing or payment data
- Appointment scheduling
- Any personally identifiable information
In practice, a record in our system looks like: canine, Labrador Retriever, 32kg, 8yr, presenting with polyuria/polydipsia, diagnosed Cushing's disease, started trilostane 2mg/kg BID, ACTH stim normalized at 4-week recheck. No names. No owners. No way to trace it back to a specific patient.
How this data makes Insights smarter
Most veterinary AI tools are trained exclusively on published research. That's a solid foundation — but published studies represent a fraction of real-world clinical experience.
When your practice connects its PIMS, the anonymized clinical data from your cases joins the collective. Insights can then draw on real treatment outcomes, real dosing patterns, and real follow-up results from practices just like yours.
Every new clinic that joins the network makes the system more useful for every other clinic. This is not a theoretical benefit — it's the core of how Insights works.
Data security
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All data is encrypted using TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest.
Anonymization at the source
PII is stripped before data ever leaves the PIMS integration layer. Our AI models never see identifying information — it's not filtered out later, it's never collected in the first place.
Your data, your choice
If your practice disconnects its PIMS, we stop collecting new data immediately. You can request deletion of previously contributed data at any time.
Your Insights account
To use Insights, you create an account with your name, email, and DVM license number. We use this information to verify your credentials and manage your subscription. We do not sell, share, or use your personal account information for any purpose other than operating the service.
Your conversation history with Insights is private to your account and is not used for training or shared with other users.
